RIDER ALERT - SATURDAY #7 POULSBO CHANGES
Effective January 10, there are changes to the #7 Poulsbo schedule times on Saturday to retain connections to the Bainbridge Island Ferry and Kitsap Mall. Read the rider alert here. UPDATE: online schedule for the #7 has been updated. View it at http://www.jeffersontransit.com/schedules/7.html.
NEW LOCATION FOR JEFFERSON TRANSIT BOARD MEETINGS
Starting Tuesday, January 19, Jefferson Transit Authority Board meetings will be held at the Mountain View Commons at Blaine and Walker Streets in Port Townsend. This is the former location of Mountain View Elementary School. The meeting room is Classroom 6, on the main corridor, close to the main entrance to the building.

This connection now includes light rail from Seattle to the airport, which is available for use now, but will be completely replacing King County Metro's 194 express bus. Also, please note the rider alert above, to make the correct connections with Kitsap Transit on Saturdays.

Dial-A-Ride (Paratransit)
Demand-response service for people with disabilities provides door-to-door service and must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.Route Deviated Service
Outside the Dial-A-Ride service area, fixed-route service can deviate by pre-arrangement (a minimum of 24 hours in advance) up to 3/4 mile to serve ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) eligible riders. This service is available on the #1 Brinnon route and on the Olympic Connection service in West Jefferson County.West Jefferson Transit
For the last 5 years, it has been possible to travel in a loop around the Olympic Peninsula by bus. The Olympic Connection runs through Jefferson County as it connects Forks (in Clallam County) with Amanda Park (in Grays Harbor County) on Highway 101.Commuter Vanpool
Jefferson Transit currently has 6 vanpools in operation. Vanpools can travel out of county, as long as the origin or destination of the trip is in Jefferson County. Vanpooling can be an economic alternative on long commutes, particularly if your employer offers a travel subsidy for ridesharing. Jefferson Transit now participates in an on-line ridesharing service that is administered by the state Department of Transportation. You can use this service independently of Jefferson Transit by going to www.rideshareonline.com when you get on the Internet. If you do not have regular access to the internet and need assistance with this service, please call us at 360-385-4777 and we will assist you.Community Van

The Bus Buddy program is a safe and personal introduction to the transit system through the assistance of trained and qualified Bus Buddy volunteers. With the help of a Bus Buddy, you can gain the tools and the confidence to travel safely in and around town, or wherever the bus goes!Bike Lockers
Jefferson Transit now has bike lockers available at the Haines Place Park and Ride and the Jefferson County Library. If you are using a bike for part of your trip but don't need to take it with you on the bus, you may find it convenient to rent a bike locker. Please read the Bike Locker Policy and the Bike Locker Program Guidelines, and this is a good transportation option for you, download the Bike Locker Application-Agreement.
